My Story
I grew up in the East End of London under the shadow of the Royal Albert docks. Too late for the Rock and Roll fifties; too soon for the swinging sixties; just right for the
GlamRock seventies (and there are embarrassing photos to prove it).
I studied Process Plant Engineering and joined an American Oil Company in the late seventies. A forty year career in the Oil and Gas industry as an Instrument Engineer has enabled me to experience life in many diverse environments working in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and North Africa.
I have six children, including, three step children and now lives in Surrey with my wonderful and supporting wife. My time is now dedicated to writing the thrillers I loved so much. I have written fiction in one form or another since I was able to read, trying many genres. I write what I like to read; something with a bit of adventure, excitement and enough tension to draw you into the next page with that irresistible - what's going to happen next?".
My early years in the London docklands surprisingly led to my love of natural history. In the sixties before the property building boom in the area, it was an oasis of scrub land, small ditches and the muddy River Thames - a London Serengeti to a small boy. Thanks to a birthday present my second passion natural history photography was developed in the long grass of Beckton.
